Just because it isn't October doesn't mean that we can't indulge in a little bit of scare, does it? While this historic lighthouse it a beaut to visit in and of itself, there is a ghost tour that you can take that shed a whole new light on the place. Is it haunted? Are there spirits that roam the lighthouse? Will you be the one to hear them cry out in the darkness?!
The Pensacola Lighthouse and Museum in Florida is a historic and wonderful gem that was built in the 1800s.
Guests are able to visit the lighthouse and climb the 177 steps in order to see firsthand one of the most spectacular views on the Gulf Coast.
But while many visitors have spent time at the Pensacola Lighthouse during the day, there is an entirely different side to the lighthouse at night.
Called one of the most haunted lighthouses in America, visitors can participate in a ghost hunt in the historic Keeper’s Quarters and see for themselves.
Both The Travel Channel and SciFi Ghost Hunters have determined the Pensacola Lighthouse to be haunted by spirits—but guests too, can make their own decision.
Use real ghost hunting equipment and take the hour and a half tour to see if there are any ghosts or spirits that pop up on your radar.
Guests must be at least 12 years old to attend the ghost hunt, because who knows what’s lurking within these darkened stairways.
Are you brave enough to participate in the Pensacola Lighthouse ghost hunt?
