The 91st rendition of Dover Days, May 3 and 4, 2024, brings back one of the oldest and largest festivals in the state!
Beginning at sundown, magical fireworks kick off the event on Friday, May 3, at Legislative Mall. Food vendors will craft delicious morsels for one and all to enjoy.
The biggest Kent County parade of the year starts Saturday's festivities on May 4 from 9:15 to 11 a.m. through beautiful downtown Dover.
Celebrate Delaware's history, culture, and heritage. We love seeing folks we know from the community, students and teachers from local schools, vintage cars, and live musical performances.
One of the best spring festivals in Delaware is truly a step back in time.
Keep an eye out for the colonial, historic interpreters who represent those brave soldiers who fought in the Revolutionary and Civil Wars.
Dover Days blends the old with the new in delightful ways.
More than 200 craft and food vendors offer their wares, along with a colonial artisan's village, where you can pick up a hand-woven basket or a wooden toy, and talk with historians about life in the 17th and 18th centuries. Many of Dover's Amish come to sell goods and wares right in the heart of town.
One of the most fun events in which to participate is the May Day dance.
Celebrate the beginning of spring with this centuries-old tradition of dancing around the May Pole on the Green!
Some of the more contemporary activities include tethered hot air balloon rides, games, and a moon bounce village.
