Christmas is just a few days away, and if you're in the mood to celebrate, consider taking a family drive and enjoying these beautiful and enchanting neighborhood Christmas lights displays. 1. Wetherfield Lights, Wethersfield
This light display features 110,000 LED lights and two 20-foot trees. If you aren't able to see it in person, you can stream the light display virtually on YouTube. Keep an eye on the official Facebook page for this year's info.
2. Lincoln Lights, Orange
Lincoln Lights is a light display that will have you dancing in your car. Located at Lincoln Road off of Orange Center Road in Orange, the beautiful light display is synchronized to 15 songs. Tune in to listen at 98.1 FM. Donations for this display will be given to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund. Visit the official Facebook page for more info.
3. Lights on Fisher Hill, Glastonbury
Located on Fisher Hill in Glastonbury, this holiday favorite is a work of lighted art. Features of this display include 60 lighted trees, an 18-foot tree made of hula hoops, creative light displays, and even a smiling house. This is a display that needs to be seen in person to really get all of the enjoyment from it. You'll find the most up-to-date info about this year's display on Facebook.
4. Amarante's Winter Wonderland
Located at 8 Pratt Road in Dayville, Amarante's Winter Wonderland is a classic beauty. While this is a drive-by display only, it's sure to delight.
5. April & Mark's Cartoon Christmas Display, Plainville
Since 1938, this Plainville family has been decorating their home for Christmas. In 2019, they expanded their tradition by inviting a few childhood cartoon characters to the display. This walk-through display for the Plainville Food Pantry is open Thursday-Sunday. This is an Illinois Christmas tradition we can all get behind.
6. Joshua's Christmas Display, Plainville
This charity fundraising display is open seven nights a week. They ask for a donation of non-perishable items for the Plainsville Food Pantry in lieu of admission. You'll find all the info you need for this year's festivities on the official Facebook page.
