One of the highlights at Nature's Art Village, The Dinosaur Place is far from your average splash pad and playground. The dinosaur-sized theme park features 60 acres of fun, including a chance to cool off at New England's largest splash pad and explore a dinosaur maze and Jurassic-era nature trail.
The fun begins by getting up close to 50 life-sized dinosaurs on the nature trail. You never think about how huge these dinosaurs were until you're standing underneath a 40-foot tall Brachiosaurus that you could drive a car under.
The 1.5-mile dinosaur trails and caves give you a hands-on Jurassic-era educational experience with touch and learn activities and surprises your family will love. Follow the trail to Raptor Bay and get a view of the seven-acre manmade lake. You'll even be able to feel the rumblings of the volcano underneath the lake.
The A-"maze"-asaurus is a fun twist and turns maze that your children will love. Not only will they have fun getting through the puzzle, but they'll also laugh as they slide out of a T-rex's mouth to escape the maze.

Why We Love It: It's taken several trips for me to figure out my perfect "weekender bag that's TSA approved," but I've found my perfect carry on with the TOBIQ Colorado 30L. An Instagram ad caught my eye during a late-night scroll session and I was intrigued by the colorful compartments and versatility of the bag, which can be carried as a duffle or as a backpack (I prefer the backpack for even weight distribution and airport navigation.) Why I Love It: Fact: Airplanes are notoriously dry, dry, dry. No matter how much water I drink both before and during the flight, I always find myself in a hydration deficit for days. This Drive-in Theater and Flea Market in Connecticut Is the Epitome of Americana
Looking for a unique place to shop in Mansfield, CT? It doesn't get much better than this combination drive-in theater and flea market, open rain or shine.
Life in the U.S. doesn't come much more American than New England. Sure, you may hear the occasional claims from the South that it's the most patriotic of all regions, but our area of the country was the first to be clearly defined, and there's an undeniably strong sense of culture in the northeastern United States. There's something so wonderfully Americana about life here, from our Norman Rockwellesque small towns to the historic white churches that dot the landscape. From fairs to small town marketplaces, there's endless spots where you can enjoy a taste of Americana here in Connecticut, and one of our favorites has got to be the Mansfield Drive-In Theatre & Marketplace. We love a trip to Mansfield, CT, and this is one of the coolest attractions in this charming town.
It doesn't get much more nostalgic than the joy of watching a movie at a drive-in theater. You may think these structures have gone the way of the dodo bird, but they're alive and well here in Mansfield, CT. The Mansfield Drive-in Theatre shows movies throughout much of the year, and you can enjoy them from the comfort of your vehicle. With classics and new flicks on the screen, there's something for everyone to enjoy here.
It's not all just about cinema here at Mansfield Drive-in, though. On Sundays, you can find the biggest flea market in eastern Connecticut here. The market is open rain or shine, and admission is $3 per carload - note that the fee is cash-only.
With a 15,000-square foot indoor venue, plus over 300 outdoor vendors, there is plenty to see here, and you could easily spend the entire day treasure-hunting through the aisles. Antiques, clothing, produce, furniture, jewelry, and more are all on display here, and you never know what you might find!
