Ready to look for your next treasure? You don't need a shovel and a map to find some of the best hidden gems in Connecticut as you get out and enjoy a little bargain hunting with the family. You'll find exactly what you're looking for and maybe even surprise yourself with more than you expected when you visit College Mart Flea Market in Jewett City, New England's largest flea market.
For over 40 years, College Mart in Jewett City has called Slater Mills home. The large and beautifully designed historic textile mill was built in 1846 and is the oldest building located on this site.
Owned and operated by Robert and Susan Leone and their family, the flea market is a weekly gathering place for between 75 and 100 vendors of both new and used items. The two-story structure has room for a large variety of different merchandise which is sold both inside and outside.
You can begin a brand new bargain treasure hunt every Sunday. Not only will you encounter familiar permanent vendors and friendly faces, you will also find seasonal vendors and new arrivals. Each week is a new adventure as you discover bargains.
Visit vendors throughout the flea market as you sift through a treasure trove of toys, rare collectibles, and antiques... as well as tools, cosmetics, and clothing. Be sure to check out the delicious options the food vendors have to offer, too.
Visit College Mart every Sunday between 9 am and 4 pm. It doesn't matter what the weather looks like outside. You'll find this flea market going with plenty of bargains and treasures to tempt you and your family.
