The only thing better than enjoying some mouthwatering chocolate is seeing where that tasty chocolate was born. Fascia’s Chocolates is a household name for most people in Connecticut these days, and if you visit the factory, you can take a peek at how all your favorite sweet treats are made. The space also hosts a variety of events and a group tour you won't want to miss.
Fascia's Chocolates is located in Waterbury, where it has remained a favorite local spot for decades.
It all started in 1964, when John and Helen Fascia began making candy at home in Waterbury. And although a lot has changed since those days, the company is still family owned.
You definitely don't have to be a chocolate connoisseur to appreciate these treats, although it wouldn't hurt.
Everything is made in-house and in small batches to ensure the highest quality and freshness possible.
And you can watch the chocolate-making process firsthand when you book a group tour.
All you have to do is fill out an inquiry on the website.
Group tours can be scheduled every day of the week with proper notice.
You can also sign up for the Full Chocolate Experience ($10), which includes making your own chocolate bar.
Prepare to be impressed by how detailed the chocolate making process is, even at this fairly large factory.
Each gourmet truffle is rolled by hand.
But if you want to know if all that hard work makes a difference, all you have to do is bite into one of these candies.
You'll want to stock up after your tour.
Fascia’s Chocolates is open Tuesday - Sunday from noon until 6 p.m.
You can book a tour on the website or give the factory a call at (203) 753-0515.
Address: 44 Chase River Road, Waterbury, CT, 06704
