Historic downtown Loveland is a beautiful area near Cincinnati that has so much to offer. One of its most popular features is the Loveland Bike Trail, which you can easily access from this area. Loveland Bike Rental is conveniently located here, as well as many other local businesses and eateries.
The trail itself is a part of the Little Miami Scenic Trail, which stretches over 100 miles. Much of it follows an old railway line and provides a paved trail with plenty of beautiful scenery.
For this particular route, begin in Loveland and head south on the trail toward Milford. It is about eight miles, or approximately an hour away, and then you'll reach the charming downtown area. Be sure to check out the Milford Trailhead and Bishop's Bicycles, which also rents bikes and has everything you need to be comfortable on the trail.
Once you're on Main Street in Milford, head to Old Milford Parlor, a nostalgic ice cream shop that's difficult to miss.
This favorite local spot has several choices of ice cream, cookie dough, coffee, snacks, and more. You can easily rest and refuel here until you're ready for the eight mile ride back to Loveland.
On a hot day, a cup of ice cream with your favorite toppings will surely hit the spot. You may also decide to walk your bicycle along this stretch of Milford and check out all of the other local restaurants and shops.
And when you're ready, hop on your bike and complete the 16-mile total trek. Once back in Loveland, you may consider a meal at one of the many options right there next to the trail.
