There are some places in Southern California that are so beautiful and untouched that it's tempting to keep it a secret. Although this hidden cove falls into that category, this picturesque setting is too lovely not to share. Take a look at this treasure found right here in SoCal and I think you'll agree that it would be a shame not to know about it.
Malaga Cove is where we're headed. It's a tranquil setting in Palos Verdes Estates that's the perfect spot to get away from it all. To find this hidden cove, you'll want to head to Paseo Del Mar and Via Arroyo. Once you arrive you'll meander to Roesler Point which marks the starting point for this peaceful outing.
You'll spot this gazebo when you reach Roesler Point. Take a moment to look out at the view and breathe in the fresh ocean air. If you think this is nice, it only gets better.
The stroll from the gazebo down to the beach is a short one. If you're seeking a hike, this isn't going to satisfy you. However, if you're looking for a calm and serene setting where you can take a long, slow walk then this area will exceed your expectations.
The rocks along Malago Cove provide a rustic setting. This is nature at its finest.
Malaga Cove isn't your typical bustling SoCal beach destination. You won't see a lot of families here or large crowds. What you will find are folks just like you who are seeking some quiet and solitude. It's the kind of place you seek when you need a little alone time out in nature to refresh your spirit.

Look at that pristine aqua blue water. Perhaps this is a good time to take a dip in the ocean.
The perfect way to end this outing? Head back up to the gazebo as the sun goes down and take in the sunset from this beautiful outlook point. It's the perfect way to say goodbye to the day.
Feeling refreshed yet? Just looking at these pictures may be enough to relax you. This is truly a lovely spot that deserves to be enjoyed, so take a little time out from your busy day and stroll down to this precious cove for a short break. These are the kinds of moments that make living in Southern California so rewarding.
