Do you remember when you were a kid and you practically lived for your favorite candy? Maybe you still have a healthy sweet tooth. Whether you are an adult who loves candy or has children you want to spoil with a little treat, we have discovered seven candy shops in Southern California that will fit the bill.
1. Sweet Ethans
At Sweet Ethans, the tagline really says it all - “A Candy Lover’s Paradise.” Just a glance inside, or at the website, makes it very difficult to imagine that there is a candy that this shop doesn’t carry. In addition to a surprising array of international chocolates and hard candies, you can buy astronaut candy, party favors, old-fashioned favorites, and adult candy - think CBD-infused, alcohol-infused, and bachelorette-themed candies - as well as allergy-free, vegan, keto, and sugar-free items. Sweet Ethan takes it over the top with its own sweet collection of caramel apples, fudge, popcorn, flavored honey sticks, and chocolates.
2. Candy Warehouse
Candy Warehouse specializes in, well, everything! Though you can come in and purchase a lollipop or custom bag of Jelly Belly jelly beans, this is definitely the place to shop for bulk candy of almost any kind. Whether you are looking for an old-time, hard-to-find favorite or a candy to fit a particular theme for an event, you will find it here.
3. Logan's Candies
Logan’s Candies is true hidden gem and, as proudly displayed inside, is “Home of the World’s Largest 100 percent Handmade Candy Cane.” Not only can you buy freshly made candy canes and sticks, ribbon candy, lollipops, candy cane pillows, and more, but you can watch these sweet delights being made right at the front counter.
4. Main Street Candy Bar
Aptly situated in the center of the Historic Main Street in Lake Elsinore, the sweet Main Street Candy Bar will bring back your inner child with its bags, boxes, and jars filled with nostalgic candy, gum, candy bars, taffy, lollipops, gummies, etc.
5. Raquel’s Candy ’N’ Confections
This unassuming, open-front shop is very popular with party-planning families. For four straight years, Raquel’s Candy was voted “Best Candy Store in Los Angeles” by Los Angeles Downtown News. Located in the Piñata District of L.A., Raquel’s is well-known for candy-filled piñatas that can be customized for each customer’s preferences. This warehouse-style shop carries a vast and diverse assortment of both classic and Mexican candies, offered with both retail and wholesale pricing.
6. B. Candy
When you step into B. Candy, you are immersed in a whimsical world of color and sweets. Fun displays carry colorful rock candy crystals, marshmallow snowmen, cups of “unicorn poop,” candy cane sticks, chocolate bars, and all of the candies you can imagine to create an amazing “candy bar” at your next party. And, as if seemingly endless candy choices were not sweet enough, B.Candy also features a dessert bar where you can enjoy cookies, mini cakes, brownies, cake pops, and ice cream.
7. Sugarland
Jelly beans, salt water taffy, chocolates, hard candies, gummies, and more line the walls of Sugarland, all available to purchase by the pound. Customers love that they can find hard-to-find favorites like Mexican candy, sugar-free options, candy with toys for kids, moon pies, retro soda bottles, and the store’s newest sweet treat - Hawaiian shaved ice - here.
