Now that the month of October is upon us here in Buffalo, you might find yourself craving something like a pumpkin spiced latte or a handful of candy corn. While all of our seasonal treats are certainly worth fawning over, there's one delicious dessert that you can enjoy all year long in the city: chocolate. There's an upcoming annual event that will make you feel like a little kid again, so grab your tickets to this local factory tour before they sell out!
Since 1901, Fowler's Chocolates has been up and running here in Western New York, creating delectable chocolates and sweets for all to enjoy.
If you head on over to River Rocks Drive in Buffalo though, you'll be able to get a look at the Fowler's Chocolate factory that's been here since 1944.
While you may be used to grabbing Fowler's Chocolates from stores all around Buffalo, not too many people can actually say that they've toured the Queen City factory!
Luckily for us, Fowler's Chocolates opens its doors once a year for a fundraising event to raise money for local charities and organizations.
This year's event supports the Northtowns' Boys & Girls Club.
For just $5 dollars before the event or $6 dollars at the door, Buffalonians can purchase tickets to the 17th Annual Factory Tour on Saturday, October 12th and Monday, October 14th.
Guided tours of the factory run hourly during the event, giving visitors the chance to feel like you've stepped into the world of Willy Wonka.
While on the tour, you'll get to see Buffalo's famous sponge candy being created, and of course, you'll have plenty of opportunities to get a taste of what Fowler's is all about.
This tasty tour is fun for all and benefits an amazing cause - what more could you ask for? Take an exclusive peek behind our local chocolate scene at Fowler's Chocolate Factory in Buffalo!
