Have you marked your calendars for the event of the year? By now, you should know that Arkansas will be a hotspot for the 2024 solar eclipse. This means that there will be tons of festivities happening around town. However, not all events will be as much fun as the 2024 Solar Eclipse Festival at Ron Coleman Mining in Jessieville. Dig for crystals, camp, enjoy live entertainment, zip lining, food trucks, and so much more. Truth be told, this 3-day solar eclipse festival in Arkansas belongs on your list.
The solar eclipse will be on April 8, but you can kick off the event on April 6 at Ron Coleman Mining in Jessieville.
Enjoy live music, dig for crystals, food trucks, vendors, and more. It's going to be the biggest mystical event of the year.
With over 2-acres of digging land, no light pollution, and over 4 minutes of totality, this mine is one of the best spots to view the eclipse in Arkansas.
Three different tickets are available for the event: a 3-day general admission with camping and digging, a 3-day general admission with digging, and a one-day festival pass.
With the 3-day passes, you'll have access to the dig site all day, and you get to keep what you find. Plan to get dirty, so wear old clothes, hats, and bring lots of water with you.
As a pet-friendly mine, you can bring the pup along. They will absolutely love playing in the dirt.
Of course, you gotta bring the little ones, too. After all, digging for crystals is a fun family-friendly activity.
If you get hungry, there will be lots of food trucks serving the most delicious eats at the festival. Be sure to stop by Tonka’s Tasty Treats and grab a sandwich or shaved ice.
Solar glasses are included with admission, but you can also bring your own makeshift thingamabobs. I ain't mad at the colander...it's a fun way to view the eclipse.
For an additional fee, zip line across the mine and experience the site from a different vantage point. Also, if you want more adventure, sign up for a guided tour that takes you through the commercial section of the mine.
At the end of the day, retreat to the Crystal Ridge RV Park that's only a short distance away. And best of all, you can wake up the next day and do it all over again leading up to the grand event.
As you can see, this 3-day solar eclipse festival in Arkansas will be unlike any other in the state. So, be sure to get your tickets early for this mystical festival full of tons of family-friendly fun.
