Folks, we are so excited that festival season is here again! Let’s celebrate the glorious season of spring at the 56th Annual Jonquil Festival at the Historic Washington State Park. This vibrant spring festival in Arkansas promises to be bigger and better than ever. Each year, this colorful event attracts thousands of visitors who ring in the season with arts and crafts, music, delicious food, and more. Kick off the spring in the most magical way at the 56th Annual Jonquil Festival in Arkansas.
The event begins on Friday, March 15 at 9:00 a.m. and ends on Saturday, March 16. Come and witness thousands of fragrant blooms that will brighten your mood.
The two-day festivities are held at the Historic Washington State Park, which means that you’ll also experience the attractions at the park.
The festival is free, however, there is a tiny fee for parking your car. There is also a fee if you would like to tour or see the historical exhibits as well as the interpretations.
There will be historical interpreters dressed in period attire waiting to educate all visitors about early settlement in the area.
Aside from the attractions at the park, there will be lots of food trucks, where you can enjoy everything from BBQ to burgers to hot dogs and so much more.
Of course, there will also be local vendors selling handcrafted goods. It’s a great way to support local businesses.
The fun doesn’t stop there. You can expect live music and entertainers, as well as a vintage car show.
And if that weren’t enough, there will be arts and crafts, games, and other activities for the kids.
In past years, there were cookoffs, 5k races, carriage rides, and so much more.
But, of course, the highlight of the festival is the lovely jonquils and there will be thousands of them for you to see.
Be sure to bring your camera to capture all the springtime memories amongst these yellow, white, and orange blooms.
The festival is pet-friendly and the kids will love it as well. So, bring the entire family to this fun-filled event.
