Spring is a time of renewal where we come alive and delight in the beauty that the season brings. One of the best ways to enjoy the spring is to attend the yearly festivals that are held to celebrate new beginnings. One such festival is the Magnolia Blossom Festival in Arkansas. This festival is packed with so much fun that it is worthy of your bucket list every year. So pack your bags, this festival is worth the trip!
Magnolia is a charming town located in Southwest Arkansas, and it is known for its historical downtown area, quaint boutiques, and hand-painted murals that keep visitors flocking to the town each year.
There's so much to see in this unique town, but for maximum enjoyment, you'll want to plan your trip during a very special festival.
What attracts thousands of people to this charming town is the Magnolia Blossom Festival and World Championship Steak Cook-Off.
The 35th annual festival kicks off on May 17 and ends on May 18, and it will be an unforgettable experience for the entire family. There's something for everyone at this delightful tradition.
This festival is jam-packed with tons of fun including an art show, a canine show, a pageant, and the annual World Championship Steak Cook-Off.
What's not to love? No matter how varied the interests are among your friends and family, everyone will find something to be excited about.
The festival will showcase artwork from talented local artists in the 70th Annual Sidewalk Art Show held inside the Magnolia Arts Center.
You may even find something you love enough to purchase! There's no better way to start an art collection than with local artists.
The fur babies can get creative as well and participate in the Blossom Festival Canine Show. If you have the smallest, biggest, or cutest fur baby enter them for a fun experience.
Don't worry! All the puppies are winners (and deserve treats) in our eyes.
Don’t miss the Magnolia Blossom Festival Pageant where the girls compete in about 8 different categories. How adorable are these lovely beauties?
But the highlight of the festival is the steak cook-off event. The 34th Annual World Championship Steak Cook-off competition will be on Saturday, May 18, and is sure to grab your attention. There will be about 2,000 juicy Certified Angus Beef ribeye that will be fired up on the grills.
In order to enjoy some of that juicy goodness, make sure you order your steak in advance.
For a small price, indulge in one of the mouthwatering steaks from a chef of your choice. Bring a chair or grab a seat on the lawn near the Magnolia trees and enjoy your delicious steak meal.
It's a far cry from the usual festival food and will leave you feeling happy and satisfied.
And for their efforts, the chefs can compete for various cash prizes. This event will keep you coming back to Magnolia every year.
Want more fun? There is a car and truck show, a free concert featuring Austin Burke, a treasure hunt and magic show, a fishing competition, a 5K race, a parade, and so much more. There is something for the entire family to enjoy.
Bring your camera! There will be lots of photo-worthy moments during the festival.
No festival is complete without delicious street food. And you can find yummy eats from BBQ to tacos to corn dogs to fried pickles to funnel cake at the event. Hungry for more? The giant turkey leg will satisfy your appetite.
If you're not into steak, there's still plenty more to enjoy in terms of festival eats.
