Completed in 1997, the building was formerly the old Fones Warehouse, but was renovated into the gorgeous building that stands today. It’s completed with a fountain and garden that provides a delightful environment for all visitors.
The library is open on Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and it’s the biggest public library in the state. And because this is the headquarters of CALS, it has a lot to offer.
The library is situated on a campus that includes additional buildings, where patrons can explore music, art, movies, and so much more. There’s also a bookstore as well as a coffee shop on the premises. You could easily spend a day on this incredible library campus.
But the main building is the star of the show and as you can see from the inside, it’s visually stunning. So, it’s encouraging for all who visit to explore all the different areas.
Since there are 5 floors inside the library, they all offer different amenities.
There are floors dedicated to the kids, so they can explore their imaginations through reading as well as interactive displays.
And of course, the teens have their own space as well, and there are computer labs, reading rooms, study areas, a training center, and so much more.
Moreover, this library is a slice of heaven for book lovers of all ages. There are endless selections of books, which means you are guaranteed to find what you are looking for.
In addition to the thousands of books, there is also an online database which offers more exploration. Because this library has so much to offer, it’s a great spot for book lovers as well as casual readers.
