If you're like me, your travel budget will maybe cover a walk to the backyard---but good news! We can take a trip to see the world without having to leave the state. Let's check our luggage and get ready for some worldwide travels.

Arizona - The Arkansas Grand Canyon

We've boarded the plane and have two stops before flying out of the county. Our first layover is in Arizona to see the Grand Canyon. Okay the Arkansas Grand Canyon may not be quite as deep as the original but it is the deepest valley in the Ozarks. We may stop for lunch at the Cliff House Inn before leaving this beautiful spot in Jasper.

California - The Little Golden Gate Bridge

Last stop before leaving the country! The Beaver Bridge has been dubbed "The Little Golden Gate Bridge" because of its striking similarity to the original in San Francisco. You can drive over this one-lane wooden plank bridge while crossing the White River near Beaver.

South Korea - H.U. Lee International Gate and Garden

Welcome to South Korea! The H. U. Lee International Gate and Garden is a tribute to the founder of the American Taekwondo Association. Learn about the martial art form as well as South Korean culture at this attraction in Little Rock. The area features an 80-ton handcrafted gate, informative artifacts, and a 9-ft. tall fountain with reflection pool. Let's continue our travels.

Egypt - Arkansas Sphinx

We may be missing the pyramids but the Arkansas Sphinx is one of the most unusual geological features in the state. The sandstone monolith sits on one of the highest peaks in Arkansas at 1,800-ft. and served as a lookout point during the Civil War. The sphinx is north of Hagarville atop Hess Knob. Quick! Before we miss our next flight.

Italy - Little Italy

This community has proudly represented their Italian roots for over 100 years. Located between Perryville and Little Rock, they've been fighting to become an official town for nearly a decade. Official town or not, their annual Little Italy Italian Festival (usually around the first of fall) makes it worth the trip. Fun fact, you can find authentic Italian recipes like gnocchi and ciopa on the community’s webpage here.

Switzerland - Eureka Springs

Before we see the UK, let's make a stop in Switzerland. Eureka Springs has been dubbed "Little Switzerland" of the Ozarks because of its unique city structure. The town is roughly organized into three levels that are built into the mountains. The winding and seemingly uphill every way streets lead to eclectic shops, fantastic eateries, and B&B's that will make you want to stay for weeks.

France - Eiffel Tower Park

Paris may be one of the 26 cities in the US to share the name but it's the only place in Arkansas that has an Eiffel Tower. The 25-ft. tower features a two-story waterfall and is next to the recently erected Love Lock Fence. The tower is simply beautiful when decorated for the holidays during winter. Let's board, jump the puddle and head to London.

England - Walnut Ridge

This small Arkansas Delta town had a run in with the Beatles in 1964 and won't be forgetting it anytime soon. The Beatles had a brief stop on their way to Missouri and it inspired different tributes throughout the town, including an annual festival. Walk down Abbey Road, stroll through Beatles Park, and take pictures with the giant guitar before we continue our journey.

New York - Eleanor's Pizzeria

Wow, aren't you famished from all that traveling? We've flown back to the states but have a layover in NYC. Might as well have a slice of their signature style pizza from Eleanor's Pizzeria. This delicious eatery in Jonesboro is owned by the same genius behind Skinny J's. Now let's head back to the natural state that has it all.
