Fair food, live music, and mesmerizing fireworks make this holiday a favorite for Arkansans. No matter where you're traveling to, there's enchanting firework displays happening all over the state. We've highlighted some of the biggest, best, and all around spectacular shows in every region to help plan your 4th of July. Let's all ooh and aah over these beautiful displays celebrating American independence.
Except for our first entry, all events will be on the 4th of July.
1. Salute to America Fireworks - Hot Springs
Pregame your 4th celebrations at Magic Spring's early fireworks show. The biggest fireworks display in the state will be on July 1st at the water park. Tune in to The Bull 101.5 FM to hear the simulcast and take advantage of the free parking after 8 pm.
Magic Springs is located at 1701 E Grand Ave., Hot Springs, AR 71901. The show will begin at dusk.
2. 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular - Rogers
You'll be hard pressed to find a more patriotic show than the Walmart AMP's. The Symphony of Northwest Arkansas will be playing a full show of Sousa, Tchaikovsky, Irving Berlin, and others. Before the show begins, head to the parking lot for the Family Fun Festival. Kids will have the chance to take pictures with their favorite superhero, enjoy lawn games, and munch on free watermelon.
The AMP is located at 5079 W Northgate Rd., Rogers AR 72758. The Festival runs from 5 - 8 pm, music will begin at 7:30 pm. Tickets start at $3 and can be purchased right here.
3. Freedom Fest Fireworks Spectacular - Jonesboro
The Jonesboro Radio Group will be hosting the 2018 Freedom Fest Fireworks Spectacular at the Southside Softball Complex. Parking will be free and concessions will be available before the show.
The Softball Complex is located at 5003 S Stadium Blvd., Jonesboro, AR 72404. The fireworks will begin at 9:30 pm.
4. Mayor's Annual 4th of July Celebration - Fort Smith
The largest fireworks show in the River Valley will be at the Mayor's Annual 4th of July Celebration. Festivities include food trucks, live music featuring The Boss Tweeds, The River Valley Community Band, and Mr. Cabbagehead & the Screamin' Radishes, and of course an enchanting fireworks display over the river.
The celebration will be at Harry E. Kelley Riverfront Park, which is located at 121 Riverfront Drive, Fort Smith, AR 72901. The fireworks will begin at 9:30 pm.
5. 18th Annual Star Spangled Spectacular - Camden
Another standout show will be at the 18th Annual Star Spangled Spectacular in Camden. South Arkansas' largest fireworks display will also include skydivers, inflatables, rock wall climbing, live music, and other festivities.
The show will be at the Camden Airport, which is located at 255 Airport Rd., Camden, AR 71701. Festivities will be from 6:30 - 10:00 pm.
6. 4th Of July Celebration - Pine Bluff
Southeast Arkansas' largest display of fireworks can be viewed at Pine Bluff's Regional Park Softball Complex. Root for your favorite at the Battle of the Bands or just peruse the row of food trucks before the show.
The complex is located at 200 Lake Saracen Dr., Pine Bluff, AR 71601. The event lasts from 8 - 10 pm.
7. Pops on the River - Little Rock
We'll end this article with a bang with the largest celebration in the state. Pops on the River is celebrating its 35th year and has expanded the fireworks show as well as including more activities. Live music, free kids activities, food trucks, and a shopping market will be available.
Pops on the River is located at 400 President Clinton Ave., Little Rock, AR, 72201. Festivities will be from 3:00 to 10:30 pm.
