The weather may be unpredictable in Arkansas but you can always count on the families with epic decorations. We all know of a house or two that are worth the drive to see their incredible displays. There's one particular family in Fayetteville that may have the best and biggest display in the whole state. Let's take a tour of the Stewart Family's light display to see some of this year's features.
Welcome to the epic Stewart Family Christmas Light Display!
It's an acre and a half of Christmas magic.
This light display doesn't happen overnight.
The family begins setting up at the end of August and works until Thanksgiving.
It takes four semitrailers to hold the 750,000+ lights and inflatables.
Carlin Stewart made the point that it's cheaper to buy trailers than to rent storage units.
What began as 3,000 lights and 3 inflatables in 2003 has grown...
...to more than 350 inflatables...
The inflatables include classic Christmas characters, Disney, Star Wars, and more.
...and 770,000 lights!
It now takes about 30-45 minutes to see everything in the display.
The display also features a custom train.
The train has six, 8-ft. long carts that hold 24 people and runs on 132-ft. track. Train tickets are $2.
When the Stewart Family ran out of room they went skyward with their display.
120,000 lights are wrapped around trees and make up a 40-ft. light wall.
This light display is a full-blown attraction.
Families can enjoy camel rides, snack stand (coffee, hot cocoa and popcorn), and kids can drop off their letters to Santa.
The Stewart Family was recently featured on The Great Christmas Light Fight.
The man in orange is one of the hosts of the show, Carter Oosterhouse. The family is featured in season 5, episode 2. Unfortunately, a family from Texas won the fight but the Stewarts are still our favorite.
This is one massive light display that shouldn't be missed.
The Stewart Family Light Display is located at 4423 Wyman Road in Fayetteville. The display is open nightly from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Parking is a $3 donation.
