If you have a hankering for nostalgia, then head on over to the Casa Grande Neon Sign Park. This retro place in Arizona is home to more than a dozen vintage and neon signs that will whisk you back to a bygone era when life was still simple. Just wait until you see the signs all lit up after dark!
Dedicated in 2019, the Casa Grande Neon Sign Park features 14 vintage signs that have been painstakingly restored to mint condition. Park visitors get the rare and unique opportunity to step back in time and immerse themselves in iconic symbols of yesteryear.
Each sign has a fascinating backstory - for example, these Dairy Queen drive-thru "enter" and "exit" cones (and iconic "lips" sign) came from a Dairy Queen along Route 66 in Holbrook!
Check out this circa-1956 sign from Ralph's Cafe, Casa Grande's very first truck stop with an on-site restaurant.
You'll also see signs for Coxon's Building Materials (which has been in continuous operation for over 100 years!), Goddard Shoe Store, the Horse Shoe Motel, Valley National Park, and more.
There are even benches with restored car parts on the backs! Talk about icing on the cake.
Be sure to give the park rules a once-over before visiting. After all, it is considered a museum, and the neon signs are extremely delicate.
For more information about the park, including current hours of operation and a detailed history of each sign, please visit the Casa Grande Neon Sign Park official website.
