Did you know there's a place where you can walk with the dinosaurs right here in the Grand Canyon State? Step back into prehistoric times at the Arizona Museum of Natural History for an epic adventure that's fun for the whole family.
Located in Mesa, the Arizona Museum of Natural History promises epic fun for all ages.
It's the only museum of its kind in the greater Phoenix area, and you'll find it on North Macdonald.
While there are about a dozen exhibits, most people come for one reason and one alone: dinosaurs.
Dinosaur Hall features life-size replica skeletons that get you up close and personal look at the ancient beasts who roamed the earth long before mankind.
Informative signs introduce you to each dinosaur, making for an experience that's equal parts fun and educational.
In the next room over, Dinosaur Mountain takes you on an interactive journey through the three different time periods in which dinosaurs lived.
Animatronic figures add an element of realism, and the mountain even erupts in a flash flood every 23 minutes!
The fun doesn't stop once you leave the building - there are even more dinosaurs to be found outside!
Kids and kids at heart alike are sure to have a blast, and you could easily spend all day exploring.
Other exhibits detail Arizona history, indigenous cultures of the Americas, and many additional topics.
It's all so fascinating!
Address: 53 North Macdonald, Mesa, AZ 85201.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday-Saturday, and from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
