Covered bridges have to be one of the most timeless structures in existence. Simply looking at them takes us back to a bygone era of pioneers settling the American west, and there's truly something so magical about them. One particular covered bridge is the only one in Arizona open to vehicular traffic, and driving through it is an unforgettable experience.
Located just West of Show Low, Pinedale is a rural community with less than 500 residents. Very little has changed since it was settled in 1879, giving visitors a glimpse into what life was like back in pioneer days.
In this tiny unincorporated town, you'll find the only covered bridge in the entire state where vehicles can still drive through. Its rustic, slightly weathered appearance only enhances the already prevalent country charm.
A setting this picturesque makes the perfect backdrop for those upcoming family Christmas cards shoots. Everyone will swear you photoshopped a century-old capture!
You'll find the bridge on Pinedale Rd. in Pinedale, AZ 85934. It's like a portal to a bygone era!
