H20asis is Alaska's only waterpark, and it is also located indoors! You can spend the day escaping the cold in this amazing waterpark, which was the fifth largest in the United States when completed in 2003. Located right in Anchorage, it's easy to access when you are craving some time in the water, relaxing the day away!
If you're getting cabin fever stuck in your house after a long winter, then you need to head to H2Oasis in Anchorage, Alaska.
This indoor theme park is over 56,000 square feet. You can find everything from a 43-foot high waterslide, to a giant wave pool, a huge hot tub named the Alaska Tub, and a giant kid's park.
It is the perfect place for you to bring the whole family to get out of the house.
There are shorter slides, appropriate for the younger children at the park. You can find the Beached Boat Slide located at the shallow end of the Wave Pool.
If the kids are too small for the regular sized wave pool, they can head over to the Pirate Ship Kiddie Pool.
The water doesn't get any deeper than one foot deep in this area, so it's safe to splash and have fun sliding off the ship. This is a huge hit with kids of all ages, especially the smaller ones. Your kids will love exploring the whole ship.
Start mellow in the giant wave pool, or kick it up a notch on one of their fast and fun water slides.
Their Open-Flume Orange Slide is 43 feet high. It's an open slide that picks up speed as it heads towards the pool at the bottom. This is not a slide for the faint of heart!
One of the most popular attractions is the Lazy River.
After spending hours running around and heading down slides, the Lazy River offers an opportunity for you to relax. The river is 575 feet long, and never ends as it loops the edge of the water park. Float along in an inner-tube and watch everyone having fun!
There are so many incredible things to do here, you should plan to spend the entire day.
They have a food court, offer birthday parties, and even have toddler time and aerobic classes for you to enjoy. There is no end to the ways you can have fun at this indoor waterpark.
This is the perfect place to escape those low temperatures and have some fun with the whole family.
Their winter hours of operation are Friday through Sundays. On Fridays they are open from 3:00 p.m. through 7:00 p.m., and Saturday you can visit from 10:00 a.m. through 7:00 p.m., and Sundays 12:00 p.m. through 7:00 p.m.
