1. Cheaha State Park - Delta
Cheaha State Park, which was established in 1933, is Alabama's oldest continuously operated state park. From hiking and camping, to fishing and swimming, this scenic park offers a variety of activities for all ages. It's also situated atop of Cheaha Mountain, Alabama's highest natural point.

2. U.S. Space & Rocket Center - Huntsville
Alabama's U.S. Space & Rocket Center is one of the state's top tourist attractions. Since opening in 1970, it's welcomed millions of people from across the world. Often referred to as "Earth's largest space museum," the U.S. Space & Rocket Center has more than 1,500 artifacts on display, which attracts space enthusiasts of all ages. This famous space museum is also home to Space Camp. 3. Little River Canyon National Preserve - Fort Payne
Alabama's Little River Canyon National Preserve, which is situated atop of Lookout Mountain, is one of the state's most beautiful outdoor spots. Covering more than 15,000 acres, this preserve offers a variety of recreational activities and is also home to Little River Falls, one of the Southeast's most beautiful and recognizable waterfalls. 4. Birmingham Zoo - Birmingham
The Birmingham Zoo, which covers 122 acres, is one of Alabama's most popular animal attractions. It's home to approximately 500 animals of all species. Of these animals, there are also several endangered species from six continents. If you're an animal lover, you'll definitely want to visit this award-winning zoo.

5. Majestic Caverns - Childersburg
According to many experts, Majestic Caverns (formerly DeSoto Caverns) is America's first recorded cave. Nicknamed "Alabama's Big Cave," it's also one of the state's most unique natural attractions. In addition to exploring the cave, a variety of other activities are offered at Majestic Caverns, including a maze, gemstone panning, a train, and so much more.

6. Bellingrath Gardens and Home - Theodore
Bellingrath Gardens and Home is located just outside of Mobile. Situated on approximately 65 acres, it's one of Alabama's most beautiful garden attractions, especially during the spring and summer months.

7. Gulf Shores and Orange Beach
Nothing compares to Alabama's beautiful Gulf Coast beaches. It just doesn't get better than the white sand and turquoise waters.
