The Duffie Oak is a Southern live oak that's located inside a Mobile, Alabama neighborhood.
It's also Mobile's oldest living landmark and a true Alabama treasure.
This massive tree, which is more than 300 years old and still continues to grow, has survived everything from fires to hurricanes.
At one time there was even talk about it being cut down in order for an apartment complex to be erected, but thanks to neighbors' protests to save the oldest tree in America, that never happened.
The Duffie Oak's limbs are what gives this ancient tree such a beautiful appearance.
Sprawling across Carolina Avenue, they are truly spectacular! Bring your camera because you're going to want to take some beautiful photos!
In addition to its limbs, the Duffie Oak also boasts a massive tree trunk.
Although there are lots of beautiful trees in the State of Alabama, there aren't many oak trees alive today that can claim this.
The next time you're in Mobile, head on over to Carolina Avenue to see the city's famous Duffie Oak.
You'll be in such awe of its natural beauty.
