Green Acres Farm is a fourth-generation, family-owned farm, and it's a beautiful, rural place.
1,000 cows live here, and 500 or so provide the milk and cream that's turned into ice cream. When you visit the farm, you'll see some of the cows and can walk over to the fence to say hello.
During the spring, you'll even see cute little calves.
You'll have a hard time choosing from all the flavors of ice cream. You'll find everything from traditional chocolate and vanilla to creations like apple pie ice cream and coconut.
The ice cream is rich and creamy and obviously very fresh. Depending on how hungry you are, you can get a single, double, or triple scoop...
...or dig into a sundae or a huge banana split.
Eat your ice cream in your car, or head over to the picnic tables and play area for a fun farm experience.
The kids will love the farm-themed play equipment, and you'll enjoy the pretty gazebo.
You'll also want to wander over and watch the cows for awhile.
This ice cream is so good that there's usually a long line in the summer. Be patient - it's well worth the wait!
