Seafood season in Delaware is pretty much all year long. We love anything that comes from the water - Atlantic fish, bay oysters, and of course, local Blue Claw crabs. Take a peek at one of our favorite underrated seafood markets, where you can pick up the best of the Bay!
Lewes Fishhouse is a fantastic place to stop and pick up the freshest seafood in town.
This little seafood market and crab shack stands out in a state that's known for great shellfish, and after visiting you'll soon understand why this spot is a favorite.
It's not too hard to find great crabs in Delaware, but the ones brought in to the Fishhouse are all meaty Maryland blue claws caught straight from the Chesapeake Bay!
We all know that Blue Claws are the best crabs out there, and Lewes Fishhouse is dedicated to serving and selling only the best!
They sell more than just crabs, of course. You'll find fresh from the bay scallops, mussels, and local oysters. Did you know that Delaware Bay oysters are some of the most sought after in the country?
They do have their fair share of imported seafood, too. When Maine Lobster is on special, you better snap it right up!
Come hungry and pick out everything you need to make a gigantic and flavorful seafood boil. Yum!
Don't leave without some of their house-made crab bisque soup. It's one of the best we've ever tried, and it deserves a spot on your table.
Take a look at the Lewes Fishhouse website to see their hours and more information, and to keep tabs on their most up-to-date catch, follow them on Facebook, too!
