It is FINALLY pumpkin spice latte season! The chill is in the air, leaves are turning colors, and all of the best local coffee shops in Delaware are starting to release their fall brews. There's something about fall that seems to make coffee shops and little cafes even more appealing than they naturally are. Maybe it's the warm atmosphere, or maybe it's the feeling of sipping on a hot cup of coffee when you know it's chilly outdoors. We've gathered a list of the best places to head when you want to curl up with your favorite cup of coffee and read a book, or settle down to get some work done on a comfortable, cozy couch.
1. The Cobblestone Cafe, Dover
This State Street landmark is a great place to stop in Dover when you get a little chilly from exploring the adorable downtown area. Grab a sandwich or just sit down and get cozy with a hot cup of your favorite coffee. 408 S State St, Dover, DE 19901
2. LOMA Coffee, Wilmington
Please note, LOMA Coffee has permanently closed.
LOMA is the coffee shop that Wilmington's businesspeople frequent, but if you wait until the morning rush is over, you'll find delicious cappuccino and comfortable spots to sit down and get away from the hustle of Wilmington's streets.239 N Market St, Wilmington, DE 19801
3. Notthinghill Coffee Roastery, Lewes
Nottinghill Roastery is a little hidden - it's actually inside the Lewes Bakery. There's an entire wall of flavored coffee, so pick whichever beans are going to warm you up, and enjoy a hot cup out of the chilly fall air.124 2nd St, Lewes, DE 19958
4. Dolce, Milford
Dolce's warm, inviting interior is the perfect Delaware coffee shop atmosphere. The coffee is some of the best in the state, and seasonal varieties mean you'll never be bored. 5. Laurel Coffee Shop, Laurel DE
Laurel Coffee is an oasis in an area otherwise hurting for local coffee shops. Their old fashioned donuts are some of my favorite in the state, so be sure to grab one to dunk in your brew. 215 E Market St, Laurel, DE 19956

9. The Young Bean, Clayton
Please note, Young Bean has permanently closed.
