Warmer weather has started to arrive in Connecticut and soon those spring daffodils will be blooming all over the state. But if you’re on the search for the very best display, head straight to Hubbard Park. As April arrives, this city park will transform into a sea of color shouting out to the entire state that spring is here to stay.
Hubbard Park is an expansive green space in the city of Meriden. It has beautiful stonework, water elements, and even footbridges making it a scenic oasis within the city.
Mirror Lake is the focal point with its shooting fountains and resident ducks. There's also a playground, hiking trails, tennis courts and more, making the park a popular spot for family outings.
While a gorgeous locale year-round, this park really pops into its element in the spring. Over 600,000 bright daffodils come into bloom creating fields of color.
With many different varieties growing, there's no shortage of beautiful flowers to behold. The daffodils aren't in bloom just yet, but by mid-April this park should be spectacular.
Before you leave the park, you'll want to make the drive or hike up to Castle Craig. This stone tower offers expansive views that you won't want to miss!
