Craft breweries are exploding in popularity all over the United States. They are often open for visits. Stop by and you can learn about how your favorite brews are made and taste the freshest beers imaginable. One brewery in Connecticut that goes a step beyond that is Norbrook Farm Brewery in Colebrook. This place has all kinds of goodies to enjoy. Even if you aren't a beer drinker, there's enough to check out here that you would still have a delightful visit!
Of course, the beer is a major draw. Norbrook Farm typically has around 20 beers on tap, with soft drinks, coffee, and seltzer available if you prefer.
You can drink outside at picnic tables or in the spacious interior.
While you can bring your own food for a picnic lunch, there's really no need to. They've got food trucks parked outside.
Note that outside alcohol cannot be brought onto the property due to liquor license regulations.
The disc golf course is still under construction, but it's a blast. It's three miles long and quite the workout.
Disc golf is played similarly to regular golf, but you throw discs instead of hitting a golf ball with a club.
Norbrook Farm Brewery lives up to the "farm" part in their name with these fuzzy and adorable friends.
At over 450 acres, there's a lot to check out here. The trails are open even when the brewery is closed (though the property closes at sunset). The property is particularly great for mountain biking and cross-country skiing.
There's plenty of room on the trails to head out for a hike if you prefer to keep both feet on the ground. The trails are still under construction, but some are marked, so keep an eye out for signs.
