Spooky Halloween events are great, but we also recognize that some people have easily frightened youngsters or just don't like creepy things. If that sounds like your situation, we've got just the cute Halloween event in Connecticut for you! Ray of Light Farm is a wonderful non-profit animal rescue and therapy center in East Haddam. Each fall, they hold a family-friendly Halloween event that's all about the treats, no tricks or scary stuff involved. It's geared towards young kids but is a blast for everyone. Check it out:
Ray of Light Farm is a great non-profit organization that focuses on rescuing equines, from horses to zedonks (zebra-donkey hybrids). The farm also has plenty of other critters, like guinea pigs, goats, and sheep.
Ray of Light also has animal-assisted therapy programs and educational programs for children.
The Ray of Light Farm Halloween Drive Thru takes place three weekends during October 2022. You can visit October 14-15, 21-22, or 28-29.
Reservations are required and note that this is a drive-thru only experience, so you won't be getting out of the car.
The Halloween trail will take you through an adorable path filled with horses and humans in cute costumes.
Some of the volunteers may approach you with candy, but don't worry, there's nothing too spooky here!
The event is scheduled from 5:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The earlier time slots are great for younger kids with early bedtimes, but the later times will allow you to see all the light-up decor!
