If you're on a diet, this is one article you may want to skip! We are featuring an amazing chocolate shop in Connecticut that will have you drooling. Their original name was Truffle Shots, after their signature product. They've since expanded to sell various other chocolate products as well. They changed their name to the more inclusive Chocolate Geeks to reflect their cookies and chocolate bars.

The cute little shop is located right on Main Street in Essex. It's set a little off the road across from Griswold Inn. Griswold Square is just in front, and makes for a lovely spot to sit outside and eat your sweet treats on a bench.

It may appear a bit minimalist, but what the shop does have is delicious and tends to sell quickly.

The masterpiece and best-known product is the Truffle Shot. These tasty delights are basically a truffle's filling. You can eat this delectable ganache with a spoon, or chug it down like a shot.

Only one flavor is alcoholic, so chocolate-loving kids can enjoy these too! Truffle shots come in a variety of flavors, such as peanut butter, sea-salted caramel, and whiskey caramel.

They're made with no preservatives, so they are best served within five days of purchase. (We're pretty sure you won't have to worry about them going bad, because it's tough to not devour them right away!)

Chocolate Geeks sells premium chocolate bars as well. (And this isn't your standard grocery store checkout fare.)

These decadent bars have high cocoa content, and some have exotic flavors such as lavender and fig.

And don't forget the cookies! These are some of the most popular items here. Chocolate chip cookies are the only flavor they make right now, but don't worry; they're delicious.
