When you think of trolleys and streetcars, which places come to mind? San Francisco? Maybe New Orleans? If you didn't answer with Denver, you are missing out on a Mile High City gem, as this nostalgic trolley just reopened in time for summer (and you are going to want to book your ride ASAP):
All aboard the historic Denver Trolley!
Originally called the Platte Valley Trolley, the Denver Trolley included 250 miles of city tracks and 40 miles of high-speed interurbans that spanned from Boulder to Denver to Golden, serving thousands of visitors until its closure in 1950.
While most of the line is no more, guests can still experience the fun and nostalgia of an old-fashioned trolley ride via the restored and preserved Denver Trolley line.
Though the Denver Trolley no longer runs from Boulder to Golden, it does pass through some of Denver's most beloved scenery and landscapes as it takes off near the Aquarium and Children's Museum and winds around to Empower Field at Mile High.
Whether you are young or simply young at heart, you are guaranteed a memorable trip aboard the Denver Trolley!

The Denver Trolley is open every Saturday and Sunday from May 28th through August 14th (2022) from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
