Half Bushel Swimming Hole is tucked away in the small town of Subiaco, Arkansas.
As you can see from the map, it’s located off of Sorghum Hollow Road.
Perfectly secluded and surrounded by the scenic beauty of the Natural State, it’s one hidden gem you’ll want to seek out, especially during the hot days of summer.
The swimming hole is perfectly situated at the base of a cliff.
Standing at 40 – 50 feet high, the towering rock formation provides a picture-perfect backdrop for a refreshing dip... and some natural shade too!
In fact, the rocky cliff does more than add to the scenery, though. It’s also responsible for the swimming hole’s moniker. There’s a hole in the cliff that’s about the size of a half bushel, hence the name Half Bushel Swimming Hole.
