10. Natural Bridge of Arkansas
There’s a lot to see at the Natural Bridge of Arkansas, including a moonshiner’s cabin and a scenic nature trail, but the most important sight at this roadside attraction is the natural bridge itself. The enormous sandstone arch rises out of the forest like it was sculpted by human hands, but it’s an all natural wonder.

9. Natural Dam
When the rains are a distant memory and water levels are dropping, you’re not going to find much of a waterfall at Natural Dam. However, even when it isn’t a wide, steady waterfall, it certainly is a wonder to behold. Natural Dam so perfectly fits the creek on which it lies that it looks like human tools cut it from the rock. No matter which season you choose to visit Natural Dam, you’ll be amazed by it.

8. Pinnacle Mountain
Pinnacle Mountain is a mountain like no other on Arkansas soil. Its unique shape is certainly something to behold, whether you decide to admire it from the ground or take in the views from its slopes, Pinnacle Mountain doesn’t disappoint.

7. Cedar Falls at Petit Jean State Park
Cedar Falls is one of the most photographed waterfalls in Arkansas, and it’s not hard to see its appeal. All 95 feet of Cedar Falls are exceptionally beautiful. Considering that this waterfall is located in Arkansas’s oldest state park, Petit Jean, there’s no way getting around the fact that you need to see it in person.

6. Mirror Lake
Mirror Lake is just a small little lake, all told it’s about three acres. It’s still and peaceful, with a lovely little recreation area fashioned around it. One detail that makes it more than worth the trip to visit is the two-tiered CCC-built dam that holds Mirror Lake in place. Combine the serenity of the lake with the jaw-dropping beauty of the dam, and you’ve got a recipe for an unforgettable trip.

5. White Rock Mountain
Arkansas’s mountains are all lovely in their own ways, and White Rock holds the distinction of being one of the most scenic among a truly impressive list of Natural State mountains. White Rock is secluded, covered in the beautiful Ozark National Forest, and it is truly a sight to behold. In fact, out of all the wild places in the Natural State, I’d say it’s the one place most like Middle Earth.

4. Blanchard Springs Caverns
Blanchard Springs Caverns is a natural wonder right here in the Natural State that can be enjoyed no matter what the weather is like. That’s because it remains a steady 58 degrees year round. The beauty of the formations in this show cave really will drop your jaw.

3. The Buffalo National River
The Buffalo National River was our nation’s first national river, and it’s not hard to understand why everyone thought the exquisite beauty of the Buffalo’s painted cliffs and clear waters deserved federal protection. The Buffalo National River is definitely a place every Arkansan needs to see at least once.

2. Moro Bay
You can explore a gorgeous bit of forest from the waters of Moro Bay. You can even plan to visit this overlooked state park when they have one of their Full Moon Kayak Tours. That guided tour will show you Moro Bay like you’ve never seen it before, and the equipment rental is included in the price.

1. Hawksbill Crag (Whitaker Point)
There’s a reason Hawksbill Crag is one of the most popular places in the Arkansas wild, and that reason is its absolutely breathtaking beauty. The hike isn’t too long or hard, and with a payoff like that expansive view, there’s no excuse not to see it for yourself.
