The natural beauty of Arkansas just begs to be explored, and one of the best ways to bask in the outdoors is by taking a day trip. Here's a beautiful lake with plenty of recreation opportunities to keep you busy all day (or all weekend!)
Lake Greeson is located just south of the Ouachita National Forests. This 7,000-acre lake is so gorgeous, and it's full of recreation opportunities.
One of the best ways to enjoy Lake Greeson is by spending the day at Daisy State Park. You'll find this pretty 276-acre park right off US-70, near the town of Daisy.
Take a hike and enjoy some gorgeous views of the water.
The lake is surrounded by lush, green forests and pretty mountains.
Though this park tends to be busy (especially on weekends), you can find some forested spots that will make you feel as though you're all alone out here.
Watch for wildlife! Tons of deer roam this area - you'll likely run into a few.
On a hot summer day, nothing feels better than swimming in these cool waters.
Explore the lake by paddling around in a kayak. You can rent single or tandem kayaks from the park service.
Spending the day here might not be enough. Camp at one of the 103 sites at the park, so you can enjoy this lake even longer.
At the end of the day, enjoy a stunning sunset.
