Springtime means a lot of things for Arkansans: gorgeous weather and brilliantly green outdoor spaces, state parks and peaceful hikes. It’s also the time of year when farmers markets pop up all over the Natural State. In fact, there’s probably one in your town or a town right near you. There is one farmers market in the Natural State that is so impressive that you need to put it on your bucket list right away, and that market is the award-winning Fayetteville Farmers Market.

The Fayetteville Farmers Market takes place on the Fayetteville Square, which is a charming spot to hold one of the most well-attended farmers markets in the Natural State.

The market has been around since 1973 and market days can have up to seventy vendors at once.

The market doesn’t only run on Saturdays, either. From April through October you can also visit the market from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Saturday hours are from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

If you want to have the full experience of the Fayetteville Farmers Market, you should go on a Saturday. That’s when you’ll be most likely to find street performers and local musicians.

What you’re going to find at the farmers market any day of the week is fresh, locally grown produce.

Though if you’ve been wanting to start your own garden, you may also find some herbs and veggies you can take home and plant in your yard.
