Some of the Natural State's beautiful waterfalls require a lengthy (but well worth it) trek or a bushwhack off the beaten path, but not today's fall! Devil's Den, perhaps the most beloved state park in Arkansas, has quite the treat. Take the family along this trail to walk behind a waterfall.
Exploring Devil's Den is a rite of passage for most Arkansans.
You may not find it in writing but a camping trip was pretty much required if you grew up in Arkansas. For any out-of-stater, you can visit the park at 11333 AR-74, West Fork, AR 72774.
Although just about every waterfall can be one you walk behind, our favorite is along the Devil's Den Trail.
The 1.3-mile loop is perfect for families, or anyone that enjoys a pleasant hike through the woods. It's best to plan this trip a day or two after a good rain to make sure the waterfall is in full force.
Since Arkansas' weather has been especially unpredictable you can be assured that the trail is stunning year-round. From winter...
The columns of icicles are downright dazzling during the freezes.

The vibrant greenery and rushing water will completely refresh you.
Everybody will love this family adventure.
Every age can relish in this fall's perfect placement and enjoyable hike.
