I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
Summer days in Arizona are incredibly long and also quite hot. Under the scorching heat of the relentless sun, cooling off is necessary. So, when you find a place to hang out during these hot-weather months that’s incredibly fun and you can cool off, well, that sounds like a place I’d like to be every day! Welcome to Waylon’s Water World. Featuring the longest lazy river in Arizona, you’ll want to spend as much time as possible here this summer.
Whether or not you live in Yuma or plan to visit, you should spend some time this summer at Waylon's Water World. Not only will you cool off under the super hot Arizona sun but you'll have fun, too!
You can literally spend the entire day in a tube floating along the lazy river. It pretty much never ends as you float around and around and around as it curves through the other water park attractions.
You can also grab a drink from either the Lunchbox concession stand or the Splash Bar to enjoy as you float along the river. And while the river is our favorite park of the park, there are many other attractions here for summer fun.
And then there are the long and fast water slides along with the Super Bowl Attraction in which you spin around and around until you drop into the water below. It's quite exhilarating!
You can also rent a cabana while you're here to get some shade from the sun. And, perhaps, you'll head on over to Z Fun Factory next door for mini golf, batting cages, bumper boats, and more. This sounds like some epic summer fun to me!
Have you ever been to Waylon’s Water World, or do you at least plan on spending time here this summer? If you’ve been here in the past, did you enjoy the longest lazy river in Arizona? Let us know!
