You deserve to give your kitchen the night off and treat yourself to a nice, juicy steak. There's one special steakhouse in Phoenix that's home to some of the best steaks in Arizona, and they've been doing it for nearly 75 years. Whether you're celebrating something special or just enjoying a delightful meal with loved ones, The Stockyards will serve you a memorable meal you won't soon forget. Let's check it out:
The Stockyards has been a Phoenix favorite since it opened in 1947.
This stalwart steakhouse has been through a lot. It was destroyed by a fire in 1953 but rebuilt and reopened a year later, and has been a local favorite ever since.
When it first opened, it was a favorite spot for folks to gather.
Cattlemen, bankers, and politicians would gather alongside families and folks just passing through.
Elegantly rustic, The Stockyards only seems to get better with age.
The restaurant went through some massive renovations in 2004, restoring the iconic steakhouse back to its original glory. It was even added to the City of Phoenix Historic Register!
As you might expect, the menu focuses on corn-fed, perfectly aged steaks and prime rib.
If you stop by for lunch, you're in for a real treat. Just look at that New York Strip steak sandwich!

Warning: this will set the bar for every lunch you'll ever have going forward.
Arizona's original steakhouse may be known for its steaks, but try to save room for dessert.
A meal like this deserves to end on a sweet note. The bread pudding is the signature dessert, but you'll find several sinfully delicious desserts you'll want to try, including strawberry shortcake, chocolate mousse, or this pecan pie with a bourbon whipped cream, pictured above.
