I remember my first trip to a Voodoo Doughnut location. When visiting Portland, Oregon, locals said I had to go, and so I did. Never had I seen such creative donuts before and this is one place that's stuck with me over the years. Living in Arizona, I wished there was a Voodoo Doughnut here. Have you ever wished that there was a Voodoo Doughnut in Arizona, too? Well, we're in luck! One just opened this month in Tempe.
Tempe now has a little bit of Portland, Oregon thanks to the addition of Voodoo Doughnuts. This is the donut chain's 19th location in the U.S. and it certainly won't be its last.
If you've never been to a Voodoo Doughnut location, whether in Oregon, Colorado, Texas, Washington, or California, a trip to our new Arizona location is a must! You'll see why this donut franchise is famous and why it's been featured on numerous TV shows and media outlets.
Located on Rural Road in Tempe, Voodoo Doughnut just opened on September 7. Unsurprisingly, there was a long line of those anxiously waiting to get their hands on some of the creative and delicious donuts upon opening.
As with all other Voodoo Doughnut locations, the Tempe store offers both traditional and unusual flavors. Among the traditional flavors are the chocolate ring, glazed old-fashioned, maple bar, and plain cake.
But why get a traditional-style donut when you can order something a lot more creative? Instead, you may want to try a maple bacon bar, a banana cream pie donut, a Marshall Mathers donut (plain cake with vanilla frosting and M&Ms), or the Ring of Fire donut (a chocolate cake donut with cinnamon and sugar and topped with a dried red chili).
Or you may wish to try the Voodoo Doll donut that Voodoo Doughnut is known for. This treat is a raspberry-filled yeast doughnut topped with chocolate frosting. And it comes with a pretzel stick as a stake.
Voodoo Doughnuts are meant to be shared with family and friends. So, how about ordering a dozen, all packaged in an iconic pink box?
