The next time you find yourself craving a little peace and quiet, plan a trip to the tiny mountain town of Snowflake. It's there where you'll find the Heritage Inn, a Victorian-style, 1878 pioneer home that's been beautifully restored into one of the best bed and breakfasts in Arizona. The décor, furnishings, and ambiance will whisk you back in time, while the modern amenities will make you feel right at home.
Nestled in the heart of Arizona's White Mountains, Heritage Inn is a beautiful pioneer home built in the late 1800s.
Exuding "country elegance," the property originally belonged to the son and daughter-in-law of Snowflake's founder, William Morgan Flake.
The home changed hands several times over the years, remaining a private residence until 2000, when Dean and Sandra Porter turned it into a bed and breakfast.
The inn has a total of 11 rooms, some upstairs and some downstairs.
All of the rooms sleep two guests in either a king or queen bed, and some are even pet-friendly.
Amenities vary from room to room, but some commonalities include a coffee bar, refrigerator, microwave, smart TV, and gas fireplace.
Each room also has its own private bath, complete with a jetted tub, walk-in shower, or both (perfect for a spa day)!
A homemade, continental breakfast is included in your stay, featuring fresh fruit, bacon and sausage, pastries, and other scrumptious eats.
Feel free to take your breakfast back to your room, or enjoy it at the dining table.
You'll truly feel like you've stepped back in time as you admire all the old photographs on the walls and the antique furnishings such as a grandfather clock.
The grounds are just as beautiful as the interior of the inn.
A lush courtyard is filled with all sorts of greenery and colorful flowers, and cobblestone paths meander through the foliage, with plenty of benches along the way for resting. Some of the rooms even lead directly out to the courtyard!
While the inn is worth staying at year-round, we can't help but marvel at how lovely it looks covered in snow.
This could be a Christmas card, don't you think?
