Receiving over 100 inches of snow each year, Flagstaff is Arizona's very own winter wonderland. Everyone knows about skiing at the Snowbowl, but did you know you can also go snow tubing in Flagstaff? Flagstaff Snow Park offers multiple lanes, so there's plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the snow in Arizona. Dubbed Arizona’s winter wonderland, this gigantic snow park in Flagstaff is one of the greatest ways to spend a snow day with friends or family.
Dashing through the snow, on a one-horse open... tube?
Located three miles south of Flagstaff at Fort Tuthill County Park, Flagstaff Snow Park offers winter recreation activities for all ages.
With multiple lanes, the park has ample space for everyone to enjoy some timeless, cold-weather fun.
The park is generally open from mid-December through mid-March, snow conditions permitting. Winter in Arizona can be unpredictable at times, so you'll want to check on the snow park's website for current weather conditions before you go.
The park makes its own snow for the tubing hill, so don't worry if Mother Nature isn't cooperating.
A special kiddie hill ensures a safe and fun experience for the tiniest tots. Keep in mind, however, the hill is unmanned, so watch your little ones closely!
Tubes are included in the price of your ticket - no need to bring one!
You will need waterproof footwear, sunscreen, water, sunglasses, and gloves, however. The park sells gloves, knit hats, socks, and hand warmers, so you'll stay nice and toasty at all times. Face masks and neck gaiters are also available for purchase.
Do you want to build a snowman? There's plenty of space to frolic through the wintery landscape and enjoy some free play in the snow.
The area outside of the tubing hill relies on natural snowfall, but that's rarely a problem in Flagstaff. Arizona's winter wonderland, the city receives over 100 inches of snow per year!
Other amenities include food trucks, picnic tables, and fire pits for keeping warm (and roasting marshmallows!)
Not to mention the snow-covered surroundings that'll make you swear you're at the North Pole. It's always a good time at Flagstaff Snow Park!
Address: 2446 Fort Tuthill Loop, Flagstaff, AZ, 86005.
The park is only open on select dates, and available time slots vary from day to day. You'll want to reserve an all-day ticket in advance or a time slot for you to enjoy your snow tubing in Flagstaff.
Visit the Flagstaff Snow Park website or Facebook page to learn more about snow tubing in Flagstaff, or to view the calendar and purchase tickets.
