We can all agree that books are pretty awesome. They allow us to leave our problems behind and enter a completely different world for a while. Upon returning to reality, we often realize how trivial the worrisome matter was in the first place. Each year, the Tempe Public Library hosts a festival where bookworms can congregate to meet some of their favorite authors and pay homage to the magic that happens when ideas become written words.
This annual event lets book lovers of all ages come together and celebrate the incredible gift of written word. Local authors, booksellers, and publishers will be in attendance, so you definitely won't want to miss out on an opportunity to meet some of your favorite people.
You'll see writers of books for children and adults alike, each with a sparkle in their eye indicative of a creative spirit living out its greatest passion. Every year, a different "Featured Author" gets special recognition - click here to find out who earned that title this time.
In addition to authors themselves, dozens of vendors selling book-themed trinkets have booths set up outside. This duo makes candles designed like characters from your favorite reads! How neat is that?
Plenty of activities for kids will be held inside the library while parents leisurely peruse the exhibits and mingle with writers. Storytelling and word games provide some educational fun sure to keep them entertained.
Children can also partake in several arts and crafts, like this awesome button-making station. Every year holds something different, but the surprise is always pleasant.
It all goes down on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Tempe Public Library. Click here to RSVP on Facebook!
The library is located at 3500 S Rural Rd., Tempe, AZ 85282. We hope to see you there!
Have you ever been to the Tempe Book Festival? Are there any other awesome festivals in Arizona coming up this season? We'd love to hear your favorites!
