Arizona isn't exactly known for its seafood restaurants. We do, after all, live in a landlocked state that is mostly desert. Despite that set back, Arizona has a surprising number of seafood restaurants that serve up some of the best dishes you can find in a state that isn't located right next to the ocean. 1. Bluewater Grill, Phoenix

Formerly known as the Fish Market, this restaurant has a great reputation for excellent seafood and equally superb service. They also have a small sushi bar that serves traditional and American-style sushi dishes. Address: 1720 East Camelback Road, Phoenix.

2. Cottage Place Restaurant, Flagstaff

Specializing in upscale dining in a cozy cottage setting, this restaurant also happens to be one of the top places to get seafood in Flagstaff. Just look at that scallop!

3. Hana Japanese Eatery, Phoenix

4. Kingfisher Bar and Grill, Tucson

5. Mariscos Chihuahua, Tucson

This brightly colored, family-owned restaurant serves up casual but delicious seafood options like ceviche, various kinds of fish tacos, and many more options. Address: 1009 North Grand Avenue, Tucson.

6. Mariscos Mar Azul, Yuma

I know we just talked about this place in an article the other day, but it's hard to pass this place up, especially for seafood restaurants. Address: 1314 South 4th Avenue, Yuma.

7. Pete's Fish and Chips, Phoenix-metro

If a breaded, deep fried fish on-the-go is more your style, Pete's will probably be at the top of your list. The eatery has been a Valley staple for nearly 70 years and has a special place in the hearts of many native Phoenicians since it's where many of us got our first taste of fish and shrimp. They have eight locations found across the Valley and just be aware they are a cash-only establishment.

8. Prescott Lobster and Seafood, Prescott

Sitting on the other side of Whiskey Row, this seafood restaurant is still fairly new but serves up a delicious yet casual meal. Address: 220 West Goodwin Street, Prescott.

9. The Salt Cellar, Scottsdale

This award-winning restaurant serves up classic seafood dishes such as steamed mussels and crab cakes. One of the things that also makes this restaurant stand out is that its name matches its location; the restaurant is located underground, creating a cozy, subterranean environment. Address: 550 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale.

10. Shugrue's Restaurant and Bar, Lake Havasu City

The riverfront view from this restaurant sets the stage for an amazing meal. This restaurant serves seafood and steak, making it a great little spot for a night out. Address: 1425 North McCulloch Boulevard, Lake Havasu City.
