In just a few short days, skies across the state will be lighting up for July 4th celebrations. If you're looking for someplace to enjoy an amazing fireworks show, as well as some afternoon entertainment, check out our list below for a wide variety of activities for you and the family. There are literally dozens upon dozens of events happening across Arizona but we've complied just a small list of a few places you can take your family. So, sit back, enjoy an ice cold lemonade, and figure out where you want to spend your holiday.
1. Cottonwood, 16th Annual Independence Day Fireworks Extravaganza
Enjoy free hot dogs and hamburgers before the colorful fireworks show start at 8:45PM.
$1 parking. July 4, 4:00PM to 9:30PM at Cottonwood Kid's Park.
2. Flagstaff, Lights on the Lawn
After enjoying arts shows, concerts, and other entertainment events around town, head to the Continental Country Club to get front row seats to an amazing fireworks show.
Free. July 4, 3:00PM to 11:00PM at Continental Country Club.
3. Lake Havasu City, 4th of July Fireworks Show
If you want to watch the evening fireworks show on the lake, be prepared to get there early as boaters typically fill up the area. Otherwise, you can enjoy it from the London Bridge.
Free. July 4, 9:00PM at Rotary Park.
4. Marana, A Star Spangled Spectacular
This family-oriented event has plenty of activities for the kids plus country music to get you in the mood for the fireworks later in the evening.
Free. July 4, 5:00PM to 9:30PM at Arizona Pavilions.
5. Phoenix, Fabulous Phoenix Fourth
Plenty of family-oriented events happening here before the 9:30PM fireworks show. Enjoy food from more than 50 vendors along with a classic car show and a spash area for the kids.
Free. July 4, 6:00PM to 10:00PM at Steele Indian School Park.
6. Prescott, July 4th Celebration and Fireworks
Enjoy an all-day carnival, music, and motocross before watching the fireworks for this July 4th celebration.
Free but carnival wristbands are $15 at the gate. July 4, 12:00PM to 10:00PM at Pioneer Park.
7. Snowflake/Taylor, Independence Day Celebration and Rodeo
Enjoy all day small town celebrations with a barbeque, rodeo, dancing, and, of course, a fireworks show.
Free but rodeo attendance starts at $5. July 4, 6:00AM to 10:00PM at Taylor Rodeo Park.
8. Tempe, Tempe Town Lake Festival
Enjoy an evening of music entertainment and fireworks. We recommend watching from one of the bridges for a less crowded experience.
$5 pre-sale, $8 each day of the event. Free for military and children under 12. July 4, 5:00PM to 11:00PM at Tempe Town Lake.
9. Tucson, 'A' Mountain Fireworks
Check out the official Tucson fireworks show on Saturday evening along with food and beverages sold by the Convention Center.
Free. July 4, 7:00PM to 9:15PM at Tucson Convention Center.
