1) Double Musky Inn
Probably one of the most unique and memorable dining experiences you can have in Alaska is at the Double Musky Inn in Girdwood. The food served up in this backwoods shack-style restaurant is to die for.
2) The Smoke Shack
In Seward, you could have dined on some delicious dishes while sitting in an old, abandoned train cart. That was a meal to remember and the food was pretty great too. (Editor's Note: Unfortunately, The Smoke Shack has closed its doors for good.)
3) V's Cellar Door
A great spot in Juneau to eat is V's Cellar Door. This restaurant seems to get nothing but stellar reviews.
4) The Crow's Nest
Offering the best views and vino in Anchorage, you've got to wine and dine yourself at The Crows Nest atop The Captain Cook Hotel.
5) Bubbly Mermaid Champagne & Oyster Bar
Do you like champagne? Do you like oysters? If not... what's wrong with you?! If you do, you absolutely would have loved the Bubbly Mermaid in downtown Anchorage. There was even a little boutique attached to it for your perusing needs. (Editor’s Note: Regretfully, Bubbly Mermaid is now permanently closed.)
6) The Pump House
The Pump House in Fairbanks serves the best Elk Meatloaf you'll ever have.
7) The Hangar On The Wharf
The Hangar On The Wharf in Juneau is a great place to take your significant other. Watch the float planes land and take off right from your table!
8) Mountain High Pizza Pie
If you're in Talkeetna on one of the nights there is a live band at Mountain High Pizza Pie, then you've got to stop by. The pizza is excellent but so is the experience. Everyone is friendly and the entertainment is off the wall.
9) The Turtle Club
The Turtle Club just outside of Fairbanks has a rustic feel and mouthwatering seafood. For a unique dining experience and an awesome pub atmosphere, visit the Turtle Club.
10) Seaview Cafe
The Seaview Café in Hope is almost an Alaskan gem. The food is unbelievable and the service is friendly. This joint is off the Seward Highway and just one visit will have you coming back for more. (Editor's Note: The Seaview Café is open seasonally and will reopen in May of 2023.)
11) St. Elias Brewing Co.
St. Elias Brewing Co. is in Soldotna and if you're not a big beer person then at least try their homemade root beer!
