1. Gulf State Park - Gulf Shores, AL
Gulf State Park's campground offers 496 campsites, which are either pull-through campsites, back-in campsites, or waterfront campsites. All campsites include water, electrical hookup, sewer, a picnic table and a grill. There are also two playgrounds located at the campground kids will love. Tents are allowed at this campground. Gulf State Park's campground is a great place for spending quality time with family and friends, and it's located at 22050 Campground Rd, Gulf Shores, AL 36561.
2. Joe Wheeler State Park - Rogersville, AL
Joe Wheeler State Park's campground features 116 campsites, with three bathhouses located in each section. Picnic tables and grills are also located at each campsite. The campsites are located within a wooded area, and most of them can accommodate any size camping unit. Tents are always welcome. Joe Wheeler State Park is the perfect place for camping in the great outdoors and is located at 4401 McLean Drive, Rogersville, AL 35652.
3. Cheaha State Park - Delta, AL
Cheaha State Park, Alabama's highest point, is the perfect place to go camping. This park has two improved campgrounds with 72 campsites available. CCC Campground (primitive) is Cheaha's newest and is located near Lake Cheaha. Some of the recreational activities at this park include hiking, biking, fishing, rock climbing and rappelling. Cheaha State Park is surrounded by the Talladega National Forest and is located at 19644 Hwy 281, Delta, AL 36258.
4. Lake Guntersville State Park - Guntersville, AL
Lake Guntersville State Park's main campground offers the following: 318 improved campsites, a primitive camping area, bathhouses, a playground, a country store, etc. Campers will enjoy the beauty of Lake Guntersville, Alabama's largest lake, while camping at one of the best parks in the state. A few of the many outdoor activities offered at this park include
hiking, biking, boating, fishing and horseback riding. This campground is pet friendly, but remember to be courteous to other campers by always keeping your pets on a leash. Lake

5. Oak Mountain State Park - Pelham, AL
Oak Mountain State Park's campground is the perfect place for friends and families to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Just a few of the amenities at this campground include picnic tables, grills and bathhouses. The campground is pet friendly, but all pets must be on a leash. Oak Mountain State Park's campground is open year-round and is located at 200 Terrace Drive, Pelham, AL 35124.
6. Wind Creek State Park - Alexander City, AL
The campground at Wind Creek State Park offers 586 campsites (157 waterfront and 39 premium) that are spread over 320 acres. A few campsite amenities include waterfront access, TV service and electrical hookup. There are also bathhouses and playgrounds located throughout the park. This park offers many different types of recreational activities such as fishing, boating and hiking. Speaking of hiking, Wind Creek State Park has nearly 30 miles of hiking trails that offer stunning views of wildflowers and blooming dogwoods. 7. DeSoto State Park - Fort Payne, AL
DeSoto State Park, a 3,502-acre park in a wooded area, has an improved campground that includes 94 full-hookup tent and RV campsites. This park also offers primitive campsites
for the more adventurous. A picnic table and grill is at each campsite, and just a few of the recreational activities offered at this park include swimming,
kayaking, hiking and biking. DeSoto State Park is located at 7104 DeSoto Pkwy NE, Fort Payne, AL 35967.
8. Lake Lurleen State Park - Coker, AL
Lake Lurleen State Park's campground offers 91 modern campsites with a beautiful view of the 250-acre lake. Modern bathhouses are located throughout the park for the campers. Water and electrical hookup is also available at each campsite. Campers will have an enjoyable time participating in several outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming, fishing and boating. This campground is pet friendly, but pets must be leashed at all times. Lake Lurleen State Park is located at 13226 Lake Lurleen Rd, Coker, AL 35452.
9. Lakepoint State Park - Eufaula, AL
The campground located within Lakepoint State Park offers 192 improved campsites. Deer Court has pull-through campsites, which include water, electricity and sewage. Barbour and Clark Loop campsites include water and electricity. A few of the recreational activities at this park include fishing, boating and hiking. This campground is pet friendly, but all pets

10. Meaher State Park - Spanish Fort, AL
Meaher State Park is a beautiful 1,327-acre park that's located within the wetlands of Mobile Bay. Its campground offers 61 RV campsites. There are also bathhouses and laundry facilities located within the camping area. If you don't own an RV and you're really wanting to camp at Meaher State Park, don't worry. Tents are always allowed. Because an abundance of freshwater fish is available in the area, fishing is the main recreational activity at this park. So, if you love fishing, this is the PERFECT camping spot for you!
