There’s a new waterpark in Mississippi, and it’s worth a road trip from any corner of the state. Serengeti Springs at the Hattiesburg Zoo just recently opened for its first season, and it’s already breaking records. There’s a lot packed into this waterpark, so let’s check it out:
Serengeti Springs at the Hattiesburg Zoo just opened for the 2024 season, and it’s a must-see summer attraction.
All of the waterslides have height requirements. Most of them have a 40” height requirement, but there are a few (Serengeti Swirl) with a taller, 48” requirement.
The premium cabanas include two chaise lounge chairs, a bar table with four chairs, two sofas, a private safe, a storage cabinet, USB charging ports and power outlets, a ceiling fan, and food/beverage service.
There are food trucks and a snack station for sweet treats and tasty options like pizza.
Day passes range from $23-30 depending on the day of the week. It's cheaper on weekdays, and you'll likely experience fewer crowds, too.
Before you head over to this new waterpark in Mississippi, it’s important to note that Serengeti Springs is completely cashless. Visit the Serengeti Springs website for more information, and be sure to follow Serengeti Springs on Facebook so you can stay up to date on any upcoming announcements or weather-related information. Don’t forget to apply (and reapply) sunscreen!
