The Gorgeous, Little-Known River Is One Of The Most Underrated Fishing Spots In South Carolina
You know what they say about a bad day of fishing, right? (Better than a good day at work!) However, in South Carolina, you should really never have a bad day of fishing. Our state is known for incredible fishing spots, with an impressive list of over 35 record-breaking freshwater fish that have been caught in our waters, three of those being current world records. Many of these have been caught in some of our more popular lakes and rivers, while others are little-known locales. And although to date, none of those record-breaking fish were caught from the Tyger River, it’s certainly not a fishing spot in South Carolina to overlook.
Now, there are multiple fishing spots along the Tyger River, including Berry Shoals Pond and Dam, the Historic Anderson Mill, the Morris Bridge Road River Access, and more, as you can see from this map:

There’s no cost of admission or charge to fish at Tygerberry Landing, but anglers ages 16 and older must have a current fishing license from the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources.
