There's no doubt that Washington is an incredibly beautiful state (and some might say the best). But getting caught up in our day to day lives can sometimes make us forget how lucky we are to live in the Evergreen State. When you need to bring back that lovin' feeling, just check out a few of these amazing places.
1. Leavenworth
An average day in Leavenworth is better than a good day just about anywhere else. And even if ridiculously charming Bavarian villages aren't your thing, the town is surrounded by hiking trails, lakes, and forest land to wander through.
2. Lake Chelan
Yes, Lake Chelan is crowded during the summer. No, that doesn't make it any less amazing. Visit, and visit soon.
3. Palouse Falls
Eastern Washington is highly underrated, especially Palouse Falls State Park.
4. The Gorge Amphitheatre
Catching a concert at the Gorge will definitely make you remember how lucky you are to be a Washingtonian.
5. Port Townsend.
This Victorian village by the sea has so much to offer. No wonder it's considered a top vacation destination in the PNW.
6.The beaches of the Olympic Peninsula
They're mystical and otherworldly and often foggy and full of sea stacks.
7. The Columbia River Gorge
Cruise down the highway and enjoy the scenery along our watery Oregon border.
8. Snoqualmie Falls
This is one of our state's most photographed spots, and it's incredible. If you can swing it, staying at the Salish Lodge & Spa will help you rekindle your love for all things Washington.
9. Yakima Valley wine country
Whether or not you drink wine, spending a day exploring the region's rolling hills, vineyards and mountain views will make you glad to be a Washingtonian.
10. Metaline Falls
This gorgeous spot in the northeast corner of the state is perfect for getting away from it all.
11. Long Beach
When all you want is a sunset walk by the ocean, Long Beach is the place to be. The town itself is pretty charming, too.
12. Mount Rainier National Park
This is one of the most beautiful places in the country, much less the state. From the fields of wildflowers to the majestic mountain herself, this park will make a nature lover out of anyone.
13. San Juan Islands
If the San Juans don't remind you that Washington is the most incredible place on Earth, nothing will.
Washington is the crown jewel of the Pacific Northwest. In fact, we happen to think it's a little underrated.
