While most Texans break out their winter coats when it gets anywhere below 65 degrees outside, you can't help but love everything that comes along with winter. The Christmas lights strung up on all the houses outside. The Christmas movie marathons on Hallmark. The delicious smells coming from the kitchen, because comfort foods and cold weather go hand in hand.
Plus, if you live in northern and western Texas especially, you will most likely see snow multiple times throughout the season, and no one can deny the beauty of a winter wonderland right outside their window. To showcase why you shouldn't totally boycott winter in Texas, I've found some gorgeous photos of wintertime to get you excited for the next season!
1. The mountains in Texas look even more beautiful, if that's even possible.
2. Having all that snow outside is a perfect excuse to curl up on the couch with some coffee or hot cocoa, and read a book, or binge-watch your favorite show on Netflix.
3. The air outside might be chilly, but getting to see these magnificent icicle formations makes bearing the cold totally worth it.
4. The forests seem much more enchanting and intriguing.
5. Everything seems to slow down a bit, and the world gets a little quieter and peaceful.
6. You start to see the beauty in things you may not have even noticed before.
7. Snow days anyone?

8. The Riverwalk is San Antonio is all lit up for the holidays, which makes it even more entertaining!
9. And I mean, who doesn't like making snowmen?
10. You finally get to put your fireplace to good use, and cuddle up with your loved ones while sipping on a steaming cup of hot cocoa.
11. And who could forget holiday baking?!
This is probably one of every Texan's greatest joys in life, which means winter is definitely something to get excited for!
